The first international SCOUT tournament, the European Erasmus+Sport project co-financed by the European Union, which involved over 200 girls from Italy, France, Spain and the Czech Republic, ended on Sunday.
Over 200 people, including athletes and accompanying persons, met on Friday 23rd, Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th June in Istres, near Marseille.
The three days began with a walk in the historic center of Marseille to discover this beautiful city. The day ended with a training moment dedicated to the coaches in which all the staff involved were able to meet with Gil Plà of the University of Vic (Spain) on the issues of inclusion and the difficulties encountered in the clubs.
On Saturday, the three tournaments of the Under 17, Under 14 and Under 10 women’s categories took place on three competition fields. The tournaments, which lasted all day, were played in a completely friendly spirit with the main objective of having a sporting experience of international exchange.
For the Under 17 Women’s tournament, 8 teams participated: Anderlini, Istres, AE Vallbona, Nimes-Tarascon, Marseille, Ostrava, Salon de Provence and Venelles.
For the Under 14 Women’s tournament, 6 teams participated: Istres, AE Vallbona, Anderlini, Martigues and CD.
For the Under 10 Women’s tournament, the three companies of the SCOUT project brought two teams each, for a total of 6 formations ready to play.
On Sunday, some friendly beach volleyball matches took place on the beach, before the final goodbyes.
The next international appointment of the SCOUT project is set for Easter 2024, when in Modena on the occasion of the Anderlini Spring Cup and the Paolo Bussinello International Trophy.
